It means a better chance at life for middle class working people that make up the majority of America. It means a chance at finally being able to insure our family with health insurance. It may mean pulling the troops out of Iraq and finding a different solution for the situation in the Middle East. It may also mean a new set of headaches. Democrats tend to raise taxes a bit more than Republicans do in order to finance the public programs that define the party, ie; better healthcare for families, lower cost of schooling for college age people, better public welfare programs, bigger WIC distributions, better teachers for our schools, proper training for law officials, things along that line.

There will be some control over what the President does, although Bush can still do alot of damage between now, and January when the Democrats take control. Bush's flow of money, for the war, should be cut; this could very well force him to seek an end to the war.

I can tell you more about what exactly the Derm has to do?
Immigration issue, such as punish the business owners who hired undocumented workers and let the state picked up the tap. For example The State of California had to pay 25 billion dollars for uninsured illegals people, while the American who have no Health Care can not get help from the State. It is about time the Immigration issue needs to address.

3.National debt is a country crisis and tell me Your Republican people?? who is going to pay for 3 trillion dollars and why we have to raise taxes to clean up Republican garbage and now the Derm has to clean house. What is a life?
4. Minimum wages that need to pass.
5.Environmental bill
6.Abortion issue, I am not a fan of abortion but you need to have a legal place to have it done. Because, people have freedom to go around and get into trouble and Society has to hear about, illegal abortion is not healthy. Please do not impose your religion with my freedom of choice. As a woman I can do what ever I do with my body and Health. 7. Is it about time to save lives and start research about stem cell issues.
8.American policy especially in Middle East.
9.H1B visas and the outsurce of American jobs.
10. Well student loans and higher education.
11.It is about time we have the House and Senate who have a vision for America and no favore for a special interest such as drug company as well as oil company. These are my personal opinions and I am proud to be An American who wants the best for my people and Country.

Nothing
The two parties republican and democrats are two faces of a same coin.
Have you seen any changes in USA in this bush era as compared to the clinton era which are due to government policies.
All techonological development is done by corporations. All local development is done by the local governments. What else has changed?

If Democrats will finally have control on both House of Representatives and the Senate, then it will be the end of Bush's power and popularity, and Iraq will be left on its own.

It means liberals will get to self-righteously repeat all of their talking points on Yahoo Answers, with mistaken ideas like "more health care, more welfare, more law-abiding government" etc.

Liberal Democrats believe in nothing. They stand for nothing. They exist as "anti-" whatever. As soon as decisive action becomes necessary, whenever moral principle is called-upon, they flounder, they waffle, and they surrender.

How do I know this? Every Liberal idea of the past century has failed: socialism, communism, the Great Society, welfare, social security, affirmative action, political-correctness, War on Poverty, etc. From nothing comes nothing.

Eight years of the Clinton Administration accomplished nothing.

Liberals tax, tax, tax, tax, tax, and spend the money on the most superfluous and nonsensical social programs designed to uplift the indigent and unproductive, all in the name of votes. They campaign for the destruction of institutions and the redistribution of wealth. They are talking heads with feet of clay. Their watchword is "moral-relativity", and their modus operandi is "tax unto death those whom we do not like."

But every nation gets the government they deserve, don't they? This country is about to become a lot more Mexican very quickly.

The conservative Republicans surrendered their 12 year reign to the neo-conservatives, who got 3,000 servicemen killed in Iraq. So much for the legacy of Ronald Reagan.

I'm saddened by these results. I'm voting Libertarian from now on. "Pat Buchanan and Tom Tancredo in '08!"

Well since the legislature and the executive branches were of the same party, there were little checks and balances.

In other words, King George just got stripped of his title.

Things will go in reverse for years to come. Taxes will go up, worker productivity will go down, the stock and mutual fund markets will go down, our military will be slashed to the point that they couldn't fight a war with kindergarten kiddies, our enemies will plan and execute attacks against us here and abroad (we have no military, remember?), inflation will run rampant, oil prices will go up, real wages will go down, the death toll in unborn babies will explode and your children will live in fear of terror attacks for the rest of their lives. We have told our enemies that we will not fight for our freedom, for our nation's security or for our way of life. We have shown that we will run from a fight. We should not be surprised when they chase us down and kill us.

Civil Rights
No judges taking away a womans right to choose
No tax breaks to oil companies
No more midnight votes to save a woman in a vegatative state that NO ONE THERE ever went to visit
Should I go on?
