reggae like ska and some punk and jazz use a lot of highsmed. hi mids and med lows. Most of the music has a stacatto, or short stroke sound to it. This can really be accented with a touch of chorus and reverb. Play around with it until you really find what you like. Your guitar and actual amp will really be the big determing factor in this. Put your guitar on the bridge pickup only and turn the tone all the way brite. Depending on the speaker you have in your amp, this should give you that traditional reggae sound.

high on the treble probably; though i believe reggae is all in the strumming pattern
