Virginity is important to men and women. HOnestly if my boyfriend hadn't been a virgin I probably wouldn't have dated him because I'd have felt like that was all he wanted because he's 4 years older than me.

Yes. You can be like those other girls any time you want. They can never be like you again.
Plus, there is no better gift to bring to your husband (and to your marraige) on your Wedding night.
Also says a lot about a man's character, priorities & self control both before & after marraige, if he pressures you for sex (selfishness & disrespecting), or not. If this is important to you, it should be something he values as well.
Despite what the glittery media images will tell you, not everybody is doing it, and there are whole segments of the population who believe that sex is important enough to belong in a monagamous married relationship.
Also weeds out the guys who are just dating you in the hopes of getting down your pants. They aren't worth your time, and the best they have to give is STD's anyway.

i hope you're aware that virginity can be lost NOT only through sex, that is, when sex involves penetration =) a gal can lose her virginity, for example, from falling off from a horse, or doing a split during a gymnastic or ballet training. now, i presume we're talking about virginity = intact hymen (a tissue near the entrance of the vagina). well, some women still retain that even after having sex and rupture it just when giving birth. so, there's the physical talk about virginity. to whether or not virginity is important, i'll say keep it just that way until you're ready to give yourself, body, soul, and heart, to the one your heart wish to give. but remember, doing so has its consequences, in whichever way you define those consequences. i prefer not to judge by "virginity is important to a girl". because if i say yes, then i'll have to apply that same idea to boys as well =)

Yes I do. I feel you have a better chance of focusing on the important things, and get them done when you keep that.

I think its very important. Its something sacred to give to your husband one day. If you dont feel premartial sex is for you then its your decision, just make sure you're ready for every consequence that might come with having sex. But I feel no one can tell you when to have sex, its something you know and you have to be ready for, just for yourself
