It's funny you asked that because I have been feeling the same way. He did not negotiate a contract extension, has bought a 2.5 million dollar home in North Carolina, and has already reached his goal of winning the Super Bowl. He has not displaying the intensity he once had.

I believe he is going through the motions and is obtaining another 3 million dollar salary. He will take a year off and than be named the coach of NC State .

Considering Big Ben hasn't exactly been healthy, and he's running an offense that was built for The Bus who retired last year...his hands are somewhat tied this year. It may appear its him, but I suspect the Steelers will return to a higher level of play next season once they've adjusted.

It sure looks that way. He is not the same as last year. Why did he let Ben play 11 days after a major surgery?, 1 week after a concussion? A good coach would never do that . I think he has his head somewhere else. I always loved him as a coach but this year I'm just upset with the decisions he makes.

no he hasn't retired, the steelers are just in a bit of a funk. there is alot of pressure on them because they are defending champs, and with big bens injurys, and losing players like bettis and randle el hurts. there are alot of rumors that this season will be bill cowher's last, but we'll just have to wait and see.

No he hasn't but maybe he should. Its hard to get up after you have won the big one. I read were he bought a big home in Carolina, that's probably a good sign that he's getting read to retire.

If he hasn't already, he should. He has been a highly respected coach for many years, he can bail from the Steelers with his head held high
