Tis true. If a woman is not beautiful she cannot offer anything to a man. If a man has no riches, he cannot provide anything for a woman (a beautiful woman of course). Therefore, ugly women and ugly men meet and marry. And that is totally useless, because then we just get more ugly people in this world.

How poor and ugly you are inside which is what counts.......you take a lot for granted ones looks can be taken away in a second as for ones money also
Just think if you were in a fire and that beauty was to be burnt off your face would that rich man stay with you and if that rich man lost the use of his leg and lived in a wheelchair for the rest of his life (money runs out when you are ill very fast) would you stay and take care of him I doubt it in both cases.
I'd rather be ugly on the outside and beautiful one I am inside than ugly on the inside and rather be a poor man than rich and have no feelings for anyone

This is the most idiotic thing I've heard. How dumb is that? If you are broke one day without a penny to your name on Thursday but your payday is the next day that means you are useless? Beauty comes in all facets but never is it useless.

no WOMAN is ugly if she takes minimum care of herself (unless she has an ugly soul inside)... and there's more to a MAN (a real man) than money...
and no HUMAN BEING is useless unless they choose to be that way
i hope there will come a day when people realize how easy and beautiful life is when u shed all prejudice aside .... so free urself!!!!

I am married to a man without money and I have friends (ladies) who are not so beautiful and are happily married and their husbands truly love them. It's not all about looks, there is internal beauty as well and it is appreciated even more than external beauty, and the same goes for money.

Whatever happened to charisma and intelligence, talent, being pleasant, hospitable, kind, caring, meek? All these things are highly admired at least in my book, I hate to say I have a feeling the first answerer is somehow correct.

Sad but true, you nailed it. But, I do believe it has a biological/instictual basis. Something very subconscious that we don't even notice it.
Men look to women for breeding--inherently. Better looking = better offspring w/ a greater chance of more offspring...so on and so on.
Women historically looked to men as providers, those w/ more resources will take better care of our offspring, etc.
I think it is something in our DNA, pure and simple.
