Pitbulls are crazy and unpredictable. I think they should all be euthanized for the safety of the public. What do you think?

I agree. There are a few well behaved pit bull terriers, but generally they are unpredictable and even the best will go crazy.

Expect a lot of thumbs down on this question.

I have known a couple of pitbulls that I really liked and they were well looked after by their owners. They were also very good with kids. Then one day out of the blue one bit a child and the other one followed and bit another person. It was insane. They were "put down" .So I guess I am saying I use to like them but now know it is in their blood to do these things and they can never be trusted. It is illegal in my city to own one.

WOW...I think you are so far OFF!!!! It's not even funny...

Not all pitbulls are crazy and unpredictable...the ones who are trained that way and are neglected or treated poorly can lash out and react crazily and unpredictably...(just like any other dog/anilmal)....

However, when you take care of your pit bull (or pet period) and treat it right...it is an extremely loyal, loving and mild tempered family dog. Why don't you look up the temperment of a pit bull...there are other breeds of dogs out there (like chow's for instance) that are much more aggressive than pits....

Here I will provide a link for you so you won't have to search to hard...

I don't hate pit bulls....I hate their owners. It's how you raise a dog that matters, and most people don't know how to handle a pit bull. It's actually pretty sad.
And because they are being bred to fight, it "is" in their blood. It's a huge controversy. I did watch on Animal Planet the other day, this woman who dedicates her life to raising and taking care of pit bulls who have been mistreated. And she's doing amazing work. Like I said, it's all in the owner......
There should be some kind of prerequisite before someone is allowed to own a pit.
Goodaytoyou! !

Absolutely. Whenever there is an attack involving a pit-bull, the owners ALWAYS come out of the woodwork telling us how sweet and lovable their pit-bull is. I'm sure that the owners of the dogs that attacked and killed people said the very same thing about their dog. It is like having a bottle of nitro-glycerin sitting on a shelf. Sooner or later, it will get knocked of and explode. Pit-bulls are the exact same way. Sooner or later, someone will get mauled, disfigured, scared, maimed or killed. It happens over 900 times a year in the US.

I don't hate them, but Im scared of them.A lot of these dogs are used for fights with other dogs.cruelty.There have been so many attacks in the UK on kids by pitbulls. They need proper training, and they should always have a lead and muzzle on when outdoors.

Dogs that do not behave are neurotic largely because they are not being treated like dogs. More often, they are being treated by their owners like humans... not good for the dogs.

I highly recommend National Geographic's Dog Whisperer. Carlos Millan really knows pack mentality and teaches human how to be the pack leader of their dogs.

I do!
One followed a homeless man into the grocery store the other day. I yelled at the guy to get the dog out of there.
Some dumbazz thought I was yelling at the pit bull.
I can honestly say...I have never had a conversation with a pit bull.

I don't hate them. I think it depends on the way that they are trained and how they are treated. It's sad because I have seen some really sweet pit bulls. They have a horrible stereotype.

I think any dog can be crazy and unpredictable if they are not trained correctly. It just so happens that when pit bulls act out of threat, their jaw can lock.

Train the dog well, maybe you can prevent this crap from happening.
