This is hard to answer without knowing your age, eye and hair color, and seeing your skin. If you are fairly young you shouldnt need blush yet, and it will just end up making you look more aged (not in a good way), plus it tends to clog pores. Blush should only be used when a healthy glow is lacking in the skin, or to add subtle definition to the cheekbones. If you want to fake the look of higher cheekbones, dont use blush, use two different colors of foundation that are just a shade or two apart. This is a technique that takes practice, and I wont get into it here, but you can look into shading and conturing with makeup. The general rule is darker pushes back, lighter brings things forward.

If you have very fair skin you probably have red undertones. This is especialy true if you have reddish hair. Youll notice your skin looks slightly pink at times. If you have yellow undertones youll be able to see the yellow in your skin. Its as simple as that.

Without seeing you all I can tell you is that fair skin does better with cooler colors. Pale pinks may look best on you. Whatever you do just make sure it doesnt look like you have blush on, you want it to seem as if you have a rosy glow naturaly. Remember, less is more.

I heard a tip once that if you hold shirts to your face one Ivory, one white, and see which one seems to look better on you. If white stick to cool shades, if Ivory stick to warm shades If both you can wear either and neutrals look good on almost everyone. Either way it should be a light shade. I would go with either a light peach or light rosey pink. Almost everyone can wear these if the shade is the right depth for your skintone. Or covergirl makes a shade called natural glow and this shade looks good on just about everyone I have ever it on. It is a light flesh toned peach and is perfect especially if you have light skin. It looks pretty natural and with this shade the undertone doesn't really matter because it is pretty subtle

Yes, i know exactly what you mean about the pink undertone, red and yellow. Well if you would like to go to my web site www.marykay.com/c_pink, there are many check colors to choose from. I would say the apricot Breeze looks very nice on lighter skin, also the Santa fa sun or sunny spice. If you get a color and it is not what you wanted i will exchange it for you for free or you can get %100 buy back. Okay
So let me know if you have any other questions i would love to be your personal beauty consultant

P.S. The MK foundation does a great job evening out the skin tone and it feels like your not even wearing anything

I have pink undertone and colors with too much warmth doesn't look too good on me. Cooler blush tones works best with my skin tone.

i'd use like a rosey color, mainly on the apples of your cheeks. you don't want to look like you applied a lot of blush, so not strong, but it should be like a natural flush. i'm not really sure either how to tell undertones...so can't really help you there

you can try an old rose type of powder blush. or a creme to powder blush or cheek stain that looks like a rich maroon or burgundy but wears naturally and fits any skin tone. if you are very pale you should avoid orange or bronze based colors because it will look fake.

There is a uncommon blush via francois NARS that's tremendously pigmented and the identify is "Orgasm" -(that's rather the identify). It actually appears well on just about any one, and remains on for eight hrs, with out a wanted contact-up.
