...itz almost near, but you see
3 specialist all rounders (excluding Ganguly)
7 specialist batsmen (including Dhoni)
6 specialist bowlers
So we have 9 specialists + 3 optional bowlers in your side and
7 specialist + 3 optional (all rounders) are there...So why can't you drop 1 or 2 from the bowler's list and prefer batsman..?
Since JPYadav has got chance earlier, I prefer jogindersingh among the all rounders...
So my decision will be including Laxman (if Raina is not clicking again) & Dinesh Karthick -
instead of JPYadav & AAgarkar.
If you still need one bowler, either YMahesh or VRV Singh can be brought alongwith Laxman.

I would in world cup these people should be there:
1. Sachin tendulkar 2. Rahul Dravid 3. Saurav Ganguly 4. M Dhoni 5. I Pathan 6. Harbajan Singh 7. V Sehwag 8. A Kumble 9. A Agarkar. 10.Yavrag Singh 11. Kaif 12. SSreesanth.
There is a reason behind this coz in the series likes World Cup we need pople who are having expierance under their belt. Fresher would never be able to handle such kind of presure & the results would be a failure..
Better don't do any expierments & go ahead with the combinations of Expierance & Semi-Expieranced players.

Santosh

Almost agreeing... I reviewed the previous answers also, including Laxman or Raina looks nice in place of JP Yadav...
I really like to see Yuvraj is back after his injury for this world cup...
I can't understand still some people are Balaji who never did anything good in ODI after his miserable start of 44 in 4 overs...His bowling average is higher than any other bowlers in the above list and also unfit or injured most times...

Sorry to say but being an Indian i now don't want to do favor of any indian players.
I accepted the fact that Aussies are the best in the world, and we can't beat them. Best deserves the best!!!
I dont want to comment on selection of indian team. But as far as my view is concerned remove Greg chappel, and Suresh Raina and add Ganguly, in current combination, and thats the perfect squad for World cup

It is too early to predict the world cup team. Let us wait till South Africa Tour and series against West Indies and Sri Lanka before predicting the team for world cup.

Fantastic...
Your selection can be justified with the recent performances...
But we can include Sehwag in playing XI in place of Munaf Patel or Jogindersingh since other five specialist bolwers are there and of course Ganguly and Sehwag can bowl also.
