Ethics are the practice of morals which are derived from the basic propositions of the philosophy. If your philosophy is flawed logically, then your ethics will in turn be flawed. How it works out in the real world is the best evidence for or against any particular deduction.

Great question! when discussing philosophy you must respect every point of view. There are many opinions that all have merit which contribute to the betterment of history and preparation for the future. When ethics are involved only people with traditional values and morals can be taken into consideration. Ethics allow all who are involved to contemplate both what has happened in the past and what preperations we need for the future. Any relation to philosophy can not be put into one catergory and can not be answered through ones own perception unless it is the truth. philosophy-"the study of the truth or principles underlying all knowledge"

Ethics have narrow application in social behaviour only and philosophy helps form individual ethics. Philosophy is much broader and not only can deal with behaviour bur also with being, purpose, nature, almost everything that has a bearing on our life. My proposition is that ethics too have come through rationalization, but cover only one specific aspect of our life, namely interaction with the society.

Ethics is more involved with the emotions, while Philosophy is more attuned with the intellect. My morals have been shaped by the way that I *feel* about my experiences, while my philosophy is the result of my thinking, or as another person put it, the constant rationalization of my behaviors.

Ethics plays a big part in philosophy... it is the question of what is right vs wrong? how do you define what's right or wrong, and why is it that intelligent life forms cooperate in some ways, and compete in others?
One name that immediately comes to mind is Emmanuel Kant, who wrote a lot about ethics in philosophy.
