There are too many perspectives to say what is the common philosophical perspective.
Some live to die, some die becasue they don't want to live, others live like there is no death.
Then there are those who are so afraid to live that they don't live. Then there are some who die for other peoples lives. And some that die before they have had the chance to live.
Some think that we are spiritual beings just having an earthly experience.
