You can forgive, but you can't forget.

I am afraid to say it forgetting might not ever be an option. A scale from one percent to the highest number. You will always think about them. The good, the bad, the happy, the sad, the love, the pain. Something will always spark the a thought.

Forgiving someone can be VERY MUCH easy to do over time.

I assume that someone you love did you wrong... dumped you or cheated on you even. It's not quite easy to forgive and forget, especially the people [you once loved]. It takes a year or two (or even more) before you can get over with the pain the person you loved had caused you.
Some solutions may be.... like finding somebody else to love; or like finding somebody else to learn to love -- like developing a new relationship with another person. Or moving to another place (leaving the place where it will only remind you of the things related to the person you love) -- like leaving the past behind.
But only time can heal the pain that someone you love had caused you.

Forgive someone you love..is an easy thing,
but Forget someone you love...that's the difficult thing,
Coz you'll get that feeling that Life is Empty without him,

I'll forgive that person but I don't think I'll forget that he hurt me.Even if I don't want to remember sometimes as I'm thinking at someone I remember that he hurt me even if I forgave him, even if now we're best friends.

You could start talking about the situation that caused them to pain you. Maybe counsling or praying if your religous/faithful. Revenge never works nor does resentment. If you keep a grudge with this person your only paining yourself as well making a relationship only worse.

Believe me I have been there and have forgiven, It takes time and many times it comes back to bite you in the *** and you question if you should have forgiven, the person in question is now dead and I wish I could have forgiven him to his face.
If you can, then forgive and continue on and dont ever bring it up in an arguement, what ever he/she did, you should both mutally agree to let it go, and bury it.
