i am a transgender male to female and want have srs surgery but iam at or below the poverty level and will never br able to pay for it on my own i would like to use the money to also set up a foundashion to help people like me achive there dreams please can any one help me on this and is there any laws against this

Why not? There is no law against it as long as people know what they are giving money for.

I can't imagine that it would be against the law. Seems like you can ask people to help pay for heart surgery and liver transplants although I can honestly say I haven't heard of a fund raiser for transgender surgery. I guess you can collect funds from anyone that you can find that will help you pay for it. Good luck, I'm sure it is very expensive. If you decide to do this, I wish you good luck. I am lucky enough to be comfortable in this body I came in. I can't imagine how tough it must be to feel like you are in the wrong one. God bless you.

I can't see a fundraiser being for such a thing as that. Fundraisers are generally raised for emergencies situations such as medical issues concerning life and death such as heart, liver, kidneys transplants or someone losing their home due to a fire, flood....etc. Many times fire departments have fundraisers like having dinners or a fair ... but even that might not seem like an emergency...they do it to maybe raise money for new equipment and in turn helps to serve the people in the community to be more productive in time of need. Many bikers have poker runs to raise money for MDS and children who is in need of care. You can ask people for donations or if they will help you pay for it, and could you let me know who gave you money so I can ask them for some too, cause I need a new car!!! No offense, but I wouldn't give you a dime to have that done.

first of all why would you ask others to pay you to have a surgery that is not life or death that you say yourself that you can not afford !
Second to set up a foundation to help others is a great idea in it self but if you can not help yourown self first HOW are you going to help others ??
Sounds more like a CON to me .....
