looking a pattern for a cloth doll made in the shape of bowling pin.

Oh, my sister sent my daughter a doll like that once. You've got it -- basically draw a bowling pin, then add long, floppy mitten shapes for the arms and long boot shapes for the legs. You can do this on scratch paper. Add some space for sewing (I recommend 3/8 of an inch. Cut two of each piece.

Sew them together, right sides facing and a little hole left open to turn them right side out. Clip the curves, and clip to the seam in places like the thumb/hand area, the neck, etc. Turn right side out, stuff. Sew shut. Assemble by sewing legs and arms on.

Then paint the face with fabric marker -- simple eyes, nose and mouth. Dust with blusher. Add clothes, and you are done.

Make your doll pattern in a standard size so that the doll clothes fit her.
