It sure feels bad to be obsessed, doesn't it?
Try getting involved in some other activities in your life, especially ones that turn your thoughts outward. For example, look for ways to volunteer, either through your church or through community organizations. Contact the Red Cross or Salvation Army if you like. Also develop your relationships with your friends and make new friends. Another idea would be to take a course or two at a local community college, or even on line.

Why are you separated?? Why does he live on the other side of the country? Why are you looking at his email?? You have some real insecurity issues. Don't take any offense, but that just isn't a good place to be. Is he the only man in the world that you could ever be happy with. If you answer yes, then you should do whatever you need to do to get back together. Obsession is about insecurtiy about yourself. Why don't you feel better about yourself?? There is some pain in your past that has made you feel less than a wonderful, beautiful, amazing woman. Identify the pain, acknowledge the pain, release the pain, forgive yourself, after you do all that you will feel better about yourself. Good Luck!!

Pray to God to remove the obsession. Whatever God you believe in, or higher power, force, spirit of the universe.

Do this anytime you get the urge. Then talk to a friend instead. Get out, maybe take a class or join a club.
