Someone hacked in my myspace account and this has happened about five times already. The hacker puts up bullentins that I joined this porn site. Which I never did. The hacker put a survey about me which said a lot of inappropriate gestures. I changed my email account for this site, made my site private to view, and I tried to change my password. However, it keeps saying passwords invalid. Is it possible this hacker disabled me from getting a new password?

Your account has been hijacked and your only safe solution is to (#1) run a thorough scan of your system for any and all possible bugs. (#2) do a thorough clean up of your system by deleting any and all Temporary Internet files, cookies and history as well as cleaning up your cache. Then, do a check disc and a defrag and restart your Computer to see if the problem is gone.

If this does not resolve the problem go to yahoo search and look for the "Tuneup Utilities 2006" site, download their free trial program and use it to clean your registry.

If the problem persists, call your ISP, report the problem and have them help you change your password. If all fails then your only alternative is to close your existing account completely and open a new one.

Good luck

Yep, it sounds like you have been hit by someone who is able to watch your stuff. I would send out an email to your friends, and then delete the account. Personally, I would actually just delete the account. It sucks, but I have numerous friends that I have had this happen to. Also this is why I use Firefox, and why I change my passwords often. Sorry to hear about someone hacking your account.

No. It is imposable to disable the ability to change your password on myspace. I'm very sure that myspace knew stuff like this was going to happen and made sure that there was no way to have this happen. If your looking for make a strong password for you myspace that no one will get, goto http://www.winguides.com/security/password.php and make a password. Very good tool for making passwords that no one will ever hack.

One possibility is that he has installed some kind of malware or keystoke logger on your computer. I would scan for all viruses, malware, trojan horse, spyware, etc..... You can use a free online scanner here:

or
http://www.pandasoftware.com/products/ActiveScan.htm

If he got your password this way then he can of course change your password on your account and you will essentially be locked out for good. This would be the first thing I would do just to make sure your computer is clean.

click on the help link from myspace. The bold blue words are links, which will open another page, and carry out the instructions to get your password back.

Yes. Do you recall clicking on a bulletin, and then getting a screen that looked like myspace was asking you to sign in again? That wasn't myspace...

Cancel this account if at all possible. Open a new account and start all over as you can't get ahold of this problem. And you don't want to mess with it. Go to YAhoo terminate under my account.
