India is a progressive nation. its politicians are regressive lot and corrupt. It is not the traffic which is bad .it is the roads which are bad.Even the golden quadangle has got into politics of UPA and vitually abandoned .What more do you want?

The idea to test the standard of vehicle plying in the roads of India some where else is a welcome step. . It has been seen major fatalities in road occur due to frequent brake failure and technical faults. It has been floated that vehicle with high risk technical problem must be insured with high premium. Do you think the idea - vehicle check up is going to give respite to road accidents?

The maze and amazement called Indian road traffic.
One wonders, why no one has said so far, oh it’s the way it is and it’s quite okay. About Indian driving that is.
It looks like Indians are about surprises, horror and amusement. More so when it comes to their driving senses. If you happen to be in a three-tier city like Guwahati or two-tier city like Calcutta, the doubts about road safety in India come to roost.
If you are one of the sticklers for rules or the road regulations then you are in for shocks as far as driving conditions in India are concerned. Those who have not been to India or one of its neighboring countries have some interesting comments like this one on a post on Internet –“u'd have to be super alert, with one foot on the brake, Then, there is another comment which calls driving in India as “damn”.
Be it Delhi, Bangalore or Chennai, road trafficis the one to reckon with; it’s a class of its own and full of excitement; would keep you on tenterhooks; one wrong move is enough to take one’s life.

Multiplicity of modes of transportation such as personal vehicles , rickshaws , bicycles , autos , bullock carts etc. But guess Metro in Delhi has solved it upto an extent and with various phases under implementation traffic mgmt. will get better.....

Its never the same.
Every day is a challenge to wind your way through bicycles, motorbikes, cars, trucks, bullock carts, rickshaws, goats, COWS, and stupid little children who think its ok to run infront of your vehicle when its moving.
A new adventure every day :-p
