Curiosity makes us wnat to know. Mystery makes us wnat to know. An example is: More people would stop to see a train wreck than to smell the roses. Train wreck brings about death we are curious about death because we don't know death roses though we know. So i would say it is curiosity and mystery that makes us want to know.
