how do i get my laptop to work do i need to mess with the configurations

My Gateway resets with holding down the on power button for 10 seconds. The other comps I have require a paper clip unfolded and stuck in the reset hole underneath the comp. Look around and see what your Toshiba has.

try unplugging it and removing the battery to shut it down if its stuck and then hopefully it will boot normally when u go to reboot.
And to the person who gave me a thumbs down, youre an idiot because what I said is EXACTLY what you should try first if the laptop wont shut down. Go call the manufacturer and see if they say anything different to get the laptop to turn off to try to reboot fool.
