I'd agree with you more if you had said something about the graphic violence in movies and on TV. I'd rather teens have sex than go out and shoot someone. Funny, isn't it, how we're OK with kids seeing murders and autopsies on prime time TV, but everyone had fits when Janet Jackson flashed a breast. I have two grown sons, and I certainly didn't expose them to anything I thought was inappropriate, either regarding sex or violence, but I did expect that when they grew up they'd have sex. I didn't expect that they'd shoot anyone. And, turned out I was right. Teenagers have been having sex since time began. It's how humans are wired. They don't need movies to give them the idea. I took an American history course in college (several decades ago), and I'll never forget when the professor noted that about 25% of girls in Colonial America were pregnant at the time they got married. And, yes, just remember that if nobody bought tickets to these movies, they'd stop making them. Somebody must like the stuff. I, personally, prefer more subtlety--and I prefer old movies!
