I think George Bush is an insecure man with ambitions of greatness. I also don't think he's up to his ambitions.

On balance, I'd guess he must be one of the least intelligent Presidents we've ever had. He certainly has a high opinion of himself, however. I think much of that is the constant stroking of his ego by the real brains in the White House: Karl Rove.

As much as hate him, Karl is brilliant and has parlayed that skill to mastermind a Republican takeover of government that lasted 12 years. Bush, however, was a pawn in that shell game and probably isn't any the wiser for it.

I'm also a great believer in civil liberties, the Constitution and the Bill of Rights, which Bush has roundly trashed, which is even more reason to dislike him. Thirty-thousand people die every year from the flu alone, but because three-thousand died on 9/11, suddenly we don't have any more civil rights? What?

How did THAT happen?

But, that's just me. Some people would rather be "safe" than have "rights." I wouldn't. I'll take my chances in the real world.

In charge of the most powerful government agencies in the world and he couldn't catch Bin Laden the author of the worst terrorist attack on US soil and he invades a country and has it to the point where it is liable to implode over "weapons of mass destruction" that didn't even exist.

Now we have Iran and North Korea chugging away happily with an excuse to build nuclear weapons, their dug in like Alabama ticks and flicking the bird at everyone.

What do you think ?

I do. The concern the nation is in is extra the fault of Congress than it's President Bush. The nation used to be walking rather good till the Demoncrats took over the House and Senate and began p!ssing away cash and elevating taxes.

I think that Bush and his Republican cronies are waging a war against the middle class. The gap between the haves and the have nots have widened significantly under this administration.

He's just another politician. I think he started out pretty well but his quest to make everyone in the country a Republican voter completely demolished his party and it's hard to even find "conservative" republicans anymore. Compare today's Republican party with the Democrats of 30 years ago and you will see a very similiar platform. He gets most of the blame for that.

I'm torn. I agree with many of his policies so I did vote for him but his lack of action on border security and his uncontrollable spending upsets my Republican tendencies. Iraq is a mess but I don't think it's entirely his fault although it is his responsibility. His fiscal policies have been good to me but if I had to vote for him today I just may not show up.

I think he is a wonderful, caring person & president. No one is perfect, he has tried his best. And ya know, even if I didn't think he was a great pres. I would not say it outloud. He has a position of great authority and it is to be respected as such. I certainly did not agree w/ the horrible things Clinton did, but I never bashed him, he was the pres. back then & I respected him as such... but I did agree what he did was wrong. I think more ppl (especially democrats & hollywood types) need to be respectful of his title and position... they are too irreverant toward him sadly. Okay, off my soap box now! :)
