I am looking for a new laptop for when I graduate college and dont mind spending the extra bucks for either of these two top of the line brands. These companies used to be the best but lately I have been hearing some bad news.
Alienware has been aquired by Dell and even though all the management is still Alienware the service and such has gone down the hill. Dell has been riddled with accounting frauds, battery recalls and very poor service.
HP has aquired Voodoo PC and ever since then I have hear the quality has gone down hill also. Ever since HP was lead by that woman it has gone down hill but recently she was kicked out of leadership because of her actions and HP still isnt good at all.
I have looked up to both of these companies and now Im heartbroken to find that they allied with Dell and HP and stooped down to that level
I dont know where to go for a top quality laptop now. Can anyone shed some light on my situation? Thank you

I would stop listen to all the people who simply hate big companies for the sole reason that they are big companies. Alienware and Voodoo make good quality computers, as do Dell and HP. But, having said that, I do have an alternate suggestion, try this place:http://www.cyberpowerpc.com/ They have good quality at good prices, and to my knowledge, they are still independent. In fact, if you are really willing to spend the ultra big bucks, take a look at this model they offer:http://www.cyberpowerpc.com/system/ntbkx64sli.asp?v=d
a 19 inch screen with dual 7900GTX video cards. To my knowledge, that is more powerful than any laptop Alienware makes.

Make your possess. Alienware blows. You pay 2000 for a rattling pc you'll construct for 1200. Use the next web sites to get your pc elements. Pricewatch is a seek engine that searches for the bottom cost. Trust me, you shop quite a bit. For 1200, i bought a 22 inch Widescreen Monitor, a Logitech G11 Keyboard, a Razor Diamondback Gaming Mouse, a $one hundred Computer Case, and the whole lot else for $800. I am looking ahead to the Graphics playing cards to move down in cost, however it is going to be valued at it. I propose you do the identical. If you're a scholar, you get scholar reductions.

There are many reasons not to go with a big company, especially with ones going through a merger. My suggestion would be to take a look at ResellerRatings, and take a look at the top rated companies there. Puget Custom Computers looks to be like a pretty good system builder, www.pugetsystems.com.
