I personally found Warcraft III: Frozen Throne to be more addicting than World of Warcraft. My reason is that in World of Warcraft, I found that I never got anywhere. In Frozen Throne, I played DotA, and I won. A lot. This was much more satisfying, not to mention I could play for an hour and feel a sense of completion. You can literally play WoW forever and not ever get anywhere.

Personally, I like to win, therefore I liked completing the smaller games. Therefore, it was more addicting.

I found World of Warcraft very addicting until I played Frozen Throne because I wanted to know the events leading to WOW. Then when I finished Frozen Thrown I jumped back into WOW. And I felt a great deal of accomplishment when I lvled. It is fun to know that your getting closer to not being a noob and to be able to use and get to better places and things. WOW is the best not only cause you can play for so long and still have things to do but because of the excesive need of bros you can meet online. They will need your help and I not only get rep with towns and such but with ppl on WOW too. I walk and SW and dudes say whats up all the time. Makes me feel like starting my own guild. Hope this was of help take care.

ok be prepare to read my long answer.

from your question, you sound like you are not a warcraft player? pardon me if im wrong. anyway, World of warcraft is more addictive. why? read on

im a warcraft die hard fan. my ever 1st PC game when i bought a computer back in 1995, is, yes, Warcraft: Orcs and Humans. ever since then, i have been addicted to warcraft series. when warcraft 3 came out about 4 years ago, i played it and everyday with my friends at lan or at home (b.net) and almost flung my O's. luckily i stil get 12 points. bah back to the point, yes at that point of time warcraft 3 is a drug for me. if i don play it for ONE freaking day, i can go die. when FT (frozen throne) came out, it was another bomb that bomb me away from my life.

oh...but wait...den blizzard announced that WORLD OF WARCRAFT is coming out. and it needs to be PAID to PLAY. wat the hell? i was thinking, who would pay almost $50 bucks per month to play online games? so..i totally hated WOW at that point of time.

but..curiosity kills the cat. i lurked the blizzard webby everyday, to check on the latest news of WOW..and so on. when the beta came out, i, dunno why, sign up for the fun of it. (anyway beta's free) and guess what blizzy actually let me joined the beta. so im offically inside the big WOW family.

i apologies for the long and a lot of uneccesary bull craps but i just want you to share my feelings. anyway after i played WOW, i totally forget about W3:FT. ok..here are the reasons.

in W3:FT, you are the commander. you command ur units in battles, juz like any other strategy games. juz imagine...in W3:FT, you command a grp of taurens to a battle against the undeads...but inside WOW, YOU ARE one of the soldier! there is a battleground inside WOW which is call Alterac Valley. it is a 40vs40 huge battleground. juz imgaine, almost 100 real poeple are inside the battleground, how fasinating. everything u do has got an impact on your teammates, no matter u are caster, healer or meat shield (warrior), teamwork is very very important.

there is also raids in WOW, which is either 10 man, 20 man or 40 man dungeon. people get together, a good leader will lead the team and progress into higher level and more difficult dungeon and get a lot more better equipment while a lousy leader will juz be stuck there. there are countless dungeons in WOW and each and every dungeon has it own stories, which some are quite touching.

as you have heard, over 2000 quests in WOW. some are be done individual, some need to be done in groups, some quest are really fun, some are really boring. and everytime there is a festive coming up, there will also be quest relating to it. for example, there are new year quest, valentine's quest and juz recently, hallowen's quest. fun!

in wow, it has everything you love about warcraft. the buildings are there, u can go into the buildings that you cant in warcraft3. (duh) the heroes (thrall orc warchief and so on)are there, the weapons are there, the places are there.

no matter you arw casual player or a hard core player, WOW can offer everything to you. no matter you are a player vs player type, meaning you love to kill, you can join a pvp server. kill or get killed while doing quest or backstab poeple while THEY are doing quest. raid cities or the alliance or horde with 100 other players, kill their leaders and bring victory to your side. if u are a peaceful player, join a server that players CANT kill players so you can do your quest in peace.

most importantly, there is a great sense of achivement in WOW that i have never felt in W3:FT. this is wat kept me going. when you are popular enough, everyone respects you, your enemies are scared of you. i once was riding thru this place. 3 players from the opposing faction saw me. i always see them in battlegrounds and have killed them countless times. anyway, i was prepare to fight when one of them came riding towards me, while the other 2 at still in front, not moving. suddenly, the one dat came towards me got down from his horse and salute me. i was like..you know....^^
a lot more..but i cant type them all out. its too long...anyway, hope you understand wat i mean. wow rocks.
