OK, enough with the bad parent type rhetoric. I understand what R-Rated means. However, I didn't know anything about this film. There are quite a few R-Rated films that I have seen where I wouldn't feel that it is totally unacceptable for a 13 year-old.

I think that I could have handled it at thirteen, but it's really about how much you want to expose yourself or your child (did you specify?) to.

I guess it's not a big deal if the 13-year-old sees it, but some of the sexual contents might disturb him/her and they might end up asking lots of questions...

Well, the film's rated 15 in Great Britain, and the rating below is 12A which means, really, that a 15 is suitable for a 13 year old (but not 12, GB film ratings work strangely). During the last week of school where DVDs are put on, this one has been shown in every physics class from a certain teacher from year 8 upwards so, yeah.

Borat has strong crude and sexual content including graphic nudity and language. It is NOT appropriate for a thirteen year old, hence the R rating. I would'nt let my children watch it; It is much to mature for them.

I think it depends on you, as a parent if it's ok for him to see it. It is racy, yes. I enjoy his show. It's funny. You son should also understand Borat is a character he portrays and does things to get others reactions. Borat as a character looks down on women, makes negative references to Jewish people (Sacha Baron Cohen is Jewish) to get laughs from his audience.

yes. The humor is over the head. The kid might laugh but not realize the angle Sasha Baron Cohen is going for

Is "Da Ali G Show" appropriate for 13-year olds? I would say no, but what do I care what your kids watch.

theres a lot of really crude sexual references, including a man that admits to having sex with his sister, who is a prostitute, and he says his anus is the tighest in the villiage.

in the Ali G show, they even had a photo of him with his sister, who had her hands on his naked penis. (i think it was fake, but it looked real enough).

i wouldnt let my 13 year old see that. your call, but..... doesnt seem right to me. havent seen the movie yet though, but i know the stuff about his sister is in there.

There are a lot of misogynistic and racist jokes. Children that age often lack the sophistication to understand that they should not emulate that behavior. Unless you want your 13-year-old acting like a racist, sexist pig, you might want to steer him/her clear. Monkey see, monkey do!

It all depends on how mature the kid is and how the parent indiviually view it.
