Well one reason for that is... Most people who watch TV aren't looking for much to watch and they would, quite frankly, watch anything. People who would tend to want good quality TV shows tend to be too busy to even commit to watching TV regularly, and TV shows cater to ratings.

I also believe that as we get older our brians need more to be stimulated so what you may have thought to be a good show when you were younger would be garbage today.

The only way you could assure that you can have something truely entertaining to watch is if you make it yourself. It's sad to say but the reason good quality isn't out there is because they're waiting for us to make it. If there was a way we could talk to a studio and get our ideas out to the public and have a good board that would judge the comments based of creativity, artistics, and feesiblity rather than on what's popular we would have better quality shows!

I hate reality shows and I can't stand all those CSI shows. Sometimes I want a show that doesn't fit the mold. Like how about a good show about criminals. Cop shows have been done to death. I like shows that make me think not I guessed the whole show in 10 minutes. And what's up with all of the commericals. It now seems like I'm watching a block of commericals interrupted by a TV show. Its not like I'm going to run out and buy a new car, tv, cell phone etc just because you keep showing me all these things.

Personally, I find shows such as House very intreaguing. To be quite honest, it is the only show besides Saturday Night Live that I watch.

Crime shows are okay for the first couple of times, but they tend to become very boring and predictable.

Reality TV has become repulsive. I do not want to watch a scripted "Blind Date", and I don't care who wins the 321567531327564 season of survivor located in Argazukikiwamomba land.

Everything is soooo repetitive.
CSI, Law and Order, Bones,
Friends, Fraiser, Seinfeld
There are even cartoons now, like Family Guy and South Park.

And I firmly believe that if you are over the age of 8, you have outgrown cartoons. (except the Peanuts series...)

it's all the same....

i'm not sure if the shows are any better or worse than any other season. i am tired of the reality shows and the proliferation of crime dramas where the crimes seem to be more graphic and scary. doc shows have always been overrun, but i think that house is a great exception. bones is also quite interesting in the crime drama scene. then there are some off the wall shows like boston legal and the matthew perry one, sunset 60, i think. but they say that perry's show is too different and will probably be cancelled. sad.

i deffinately agree, with both. TV sucks, but i LOVE scrubs. Shows are all the same now. Everyone is copying off of everyone, and i am totally sick of reality tv.

You are right.

There is a lot of drivel on tv now and I rarely watch anything other than sports and a few movies.

Most of the time I either go out to play sports or just waste my time on the internet.

yes, your right, everything is just mtv based now, but i watch tv for comdey. At the end of a hard and sometimes painful day, laughter kinda sets me free. So, as long as comdey is still present, tv is still worth watching.

i like it. Im easily observing it ideal now. yet these days she's been starting to be to be much less humorous and ruder. So i've got no longer been observing as much as in the previous. i do no longer think of she intends to be impolite, i think of she's only attempting to get a laugh out of the audience.

I agree. I hardly watch TV. Because it sucks so much and also because I really do not have the time.

That is why I don't watch network TV. I watch more cable TV.
