Everyone constantly remembers their childhood, but why? And is there an object (either just some object from the world or some specific object that you remember from your childhood) that you feel sums up your childhood?

I don't have a rosebud item. But I think people (or at least I do) remember their childhoods because those were the times when we had the most fun and least responsibility. It's the time when the world was shiny and new and full of possibilities. The older we get, the more we focus on limitations. It's nice to remember a time when we thought anything was possible.

Childhood is represented by a living object called "innocent smile and glow in the eyes" of the baby and till it loses childhood.
As the child starts acquiring 'worldly knowledge', what we usually call as ' aye! it is understanding and has started to recognise', it is no longer innocent and that is why of all scents, (Perfumes) even today "Innocent" is the best. It is this best object synonymous with the childhood. Afterwards it is synthetic behaviour and surrounding driven living, meant to be disciplined to fall in line with the society in which the child lives.

Secondly the childhood is so important that it never returns VIRGIN in the life of that individual. It comes once and goes once and for all. That is why it is so important to humans.

I'm not sure this counts as an object, but the old playgym my dad built in my backyard symbolizes my childhood for me. My brothers and I practically lived in that thing in the summer; we'd go play Lost Boys on it all the time (we were raised on Peter Pan). My childhood is important because that's when I was learning everything I could- I still am, to an extent, but it isn't quite the same when you're older.

Barbies and Ninja Turtles. This is a really subjective question that will definitely date me, but those were my toys as a child. I guess (at this point anyway) the importance of childhood is nostalgia and the concept of innocence. Also, this is the point in a child's life when he or she is learning the most. So in order for children to grow up they have to learn to become mature, responsible and for the most part, self-sufficient human beings (or at least within modern Western society).

This is the time when life was a little easier. You remember the fun times your parents and you had. Usually a certain dish or movie reminds me of my youth. We loved to go out to different restaurants and just talk. We loved to go to movies together, and it was so much fun then. So when I see an old movie my family watched together, it brings back memories. When I see my favorite dishes my mom used to Cook for us, or what we used to eat at the restaurants, it makes me smile, and I miss those days. Now, I try to give my children fun times to remember for them when they grow up. Your child hood should not be a painful memorie.

My old Pogo stick. I remember having so much fun on that thing. My dad would bounce me really high...also I would try and just bounce forever. It symbolized my childhood because we moved alot...and there were alot of ups and downs..similar to the toy!
