I know proactive(the face care system)can clear up your skin very well, but do your blemishes really get worse after you stop useing it? What else should I try?

I've been using Proactiv for about a year now. I am 28 so you wouldn't think I need it but I do. I absolutely love Proactiv! My skin is truely clear for the first time in my life. I use it once a day, or once every 2 days depending on the oiliness of my skin.

I never had any bad breakouts before or after Proactiv, but I get small ones. Also I have problems with black heads. I have stopped using it and each time I found out that I do break out after about 3 or 4 days.

I use plenty of moisturizer because Proactiv is drying. However I have always had a problem with moisturizers causing clogged pores. I do not have that problem anymore.

I used proactive and it made my face worse. Now after using Clinique's line of acne and blemishes removal my face is clear and it works even if you stop using it. There are three different kinds depending on your skin type. I use number 2. It costs around $12 for the liquid, 10 for the lotion and 10 for the soap. You can find it at Belks. Also try the emergency mask it's $17.

proactive can be great for a few months, but then it just stops working & you wonder why you are wasting all this money....

i suggest visiting your dermatologist & perhaps they can try other treatments on you that can work better.

by the way, accutane is not handed out like candy as the one girl suggested... it actually takes a while of trying other treatments for doctors to subscibe this medication. you have to sign a release form before you start treatment & you have to use 2 forms of birth control because it can cause severe birth defects. also, there is an ever so slight chance that you could end up so severely depressed that you commit suicide as a result of this drug. so, that in mind, i just hope that helps you to understand THAT medication. it is a serious decision if you really care about yourself because, though a small risk, it is still a risk.

YES. They did for me at least, proactive cleared up my skin prefectly. But after I stopped using it a few weeks later, I started getting zits agian. I guess I'm just going to use it until I got out of my teen-early 20 stage. Have you ever considered acutane? You have to get it from the doctor, it's about $100 a month, insurance pays for $400 of it. But I heard it works great, just a pill you take everyday for about 6 months. GOOD LUCK! Hope I could help you!

I have it and presently use it. it extremely works ok and that i reccomend it for you. It does not dry out skin because it has a lotion with it. you may watch on television for between the trial issues the position in case you dont like it you may deliver it decrease back. They require you to register and there is a fee. (being zits loose isn't low priced.) yet, you do not ought to recieve it each and each month. you may cancel after the first shipment of proactive has arrived.

I've been using it for three months. Seems to hold back the pimples from coming in. Like the red ones that hurt. One must use just a little amount everyday. I use other face moisterizers too so not to dry out my skin. I hate that feeling. But I haven't stopped using it...

Try Neosporene Triple Antibiotic ointment. Just dab a small amount on top of each pimple and they will start clearing up by the next day.
