Well...when the bible has prophessed many things, and so far ALL OF THEM, have come true - it means that is REAL, and you should fear what the word of God is telling you. Now, if people are pushing it on to you, thats another thing, and yes it is wrong. But read the bible yourself, its quite interesting. Their main interest is for you to have a safety seat in heaven. Bible hitters are very into it, b/c God has talked to them in MIRACLES in spirtiual manners. Just pray more.

What is wrong with them is they have taken their focus off Christ and how he behaved and started behaving like the rest of the world. And that is quite sad indeed. It doesn't change the accuracy of the message, but delivery of any kind should be done with grace and understanding of the one they are presenting it too. A very dear gay friend taught me, a rather conservative Christian, how to do just that. So no more Bible hitting, and gay-bashing, but lots of unconditional love and acceptance and prayer that every gay person and every Christian person will watch just two videos put out by gay people called I Do Exist and Love Won Out which can be picked up on Focus on the Family's website. Thank you my dear Prince for teaching me and my Savior for guiding me in what I have learned.

that's funny everybody calls it something different...We call it bible thumping where I'm from. By the way I believe in the whole "it's my life, and I'm gonna live it my own way" belief. Everyone else should just mind their own buisness because it's not like I'm going to your church, and handing out pamphlet's on being homosexual. Preaching that being gay now a days is the only correct way to fly.
I'm so over everybody trying to tell me how to live my life. If you were so "conscerned" about my welfare in life than you would begin by re-examaning your faith, and that it takes going up to people with an open heart (like Jesus) to plant that seed. I'm gay, and I think it's funny how I a "heathen in your blind mentality" know more about the bible and Jesus than the shallow insignificant followers your associated with. You never saw Jesus going up to Mary Magdeline and calling her a whore. No because he saught her with an open heart, and in turn forgave her for her sins. Maybe it's time you see the bible for what it really is a book on love, and not hypocracy. A book proving that we humans can't be without sin 100% of the time. That it is within human nature to sin, and the only one who can't is the one I call "I am." Try that one on for size Pharisees.

~ They stick their noses in where it isn't wanted or apprieciated.
~ They think that they are holier than thou.
~ They can't see anyone else's point of view.
~ They try to convert anyone unfortunate enough within earshot.
~ Many of them have their very young children in tow. Let the child choose, dammit!
~ If you're pleasant to them, they just keep coming back even though you don't want them to.
~ The words "No thankyou, I'm not interested" aren't in their mental dictionary.
(Over here in Aus, we call them bible bashers... it's more accurate)

Oh. I thought they were called bible bangers or bible thumpers. Some people are very afraid of being alone, so they try to scare the **** out of you, to being with them. Bit of a paradox, isn't it? Like a man on a sinking ship - hates to go down alone.

because a bible is so thick that it would really hurt. i think its made to help people to believe, but not by hitting other people with it. i think a complete dictionary will hurt just as bad, and using it instead is less sacrilegious too

Mentally, it's none of their business what we believe in. Physically, bibles can hurt.

The Bible is a metaphorical weapon against Satan, not a physical one against a disbeliever.

You are no better than any other bully.

I call them Bible Thumpers because the preachers pound on the bible to make a point. Whatever you call them, keep them away from me please.
