Zout works well as a pre-treat. I also use the Oxy-clean laundry additive for the ones I don't see to pretreat.

I know this will sound strange but shampoo works well. The cheaper the better, and without conditioner. That is all I use for stain remover since I found out about that little trick. I prefer to use the clear ones since it makes it easier to see where I have it on the stain/garment.

I soak the garments in warm water with Borax 20 mule team. It works better than all the pretreaters I have found. It works about 80% of the time and has even got out some color bleed stains.

Dreft. Its a little expensive,not much,under $5 . Its the only stuff i have found safe enough for baby skin and gets it out 1st wash. Its also good for bathing kids with dry skin.
