The other day I saw one of those jocular "Rules for Men" lists. You know, the kinds that say things like "It's okay to gripe about the temperature of the beer in a buddy's fridge, but never the brand" or "You can reach for the last piece of pizza or the last beer, but not both, that's just mean." Well, this list had an item that stood out to me: "A man should NEVER have a cat for a pet."
What's wrong with a guy having a cat for a pet? Aren't there women who have dogs? Who thinks up these inane rules?
BTW...I happen to like cats, and when I finally get a place in which I am allowed, I will probably have a cat or two myself.

I always thought those rule type jokes were stupid. The person who wrote that probably has a huge, drooling, mean dog. Cause that would also make the guy seem more macho. Cats are considered more sissy.
However that just goes to show how well some people know cats. Ever seen a cat stand up to a dog that's 4 times it's size? I've seen a dog run away with it's tail between it's leg after a nice clawful swap on the nose.

"Cats rule,dogs drool" literally. I love cats. I have a dog right now, much more trouble. Cats can care for themselves. Leave enough food and water and a clean litter box and you can go away for the weekend knowing that kitty will be at home asleep in the sun coming through the window when you get back. Just don't expect him to jump up and coming running to greet you. As long as there is food, water and sunshine, you are just the guy who lives in their house. Great pet. Good Kitty!!!!

Gee I’m placing out to imagine that i might want to favor cats myself, after interpreting this! And yet, even as animals are compared to people, cats are continually reported to be like women people. So there. And besides, there’s a good number of issues I attempt this cats do. i can lick my personal genitals and anus. i'm getting fur balls and vomit them up on the floor, I stick my butt in my mattress significant different’s face contained in the mornings only for the hell of it, I climb up on cabinets and bounce down on people’s shoulders even as they least anticipate it, I bury my personal poo contained in the backyard, I stare at people via the window for hours on end, if someone is interpreting a newspaper I climb onto it, i love kneading people’s stomachs and slobbering on them, if it’s time for me to be fed and that i don’t get a meal, i am going to flow right into a frenzy of severe priced upholstery scratching, I don’t like being “taken for a walk”, and if I don’t get my way, i'd have a hissy in good structure. So, someone who needs a guy AND a cat has found the perfect answer. except i won't be able to be spayed. And that’s very last. Meeeeoww…..

There is nothing wrong with a guy having a cat, cats are pretty low maintenance which is perfect for most guys.

that's the most asinine rule I've heard of, the loyalty that cat can show its master is second to none, you just have to earn it.
To say that cats are feminine is damn illogical
