An ethnic group is a group of people of a certain ethnicity, or from a certain region sharing various cultural attributes.
An ethic group would be very hard to find, that would be a group of people operating on highly ethical and ulturistic principles ;)

Ethnic is an adjective, ethic is a noun. Since you want to modify "group" use the adjective. Perchance you mean "ethical." In that case: An ethnic group is a cultural group, an ethical group is a moral group.

If you are referring to an individual's values/morals, you would say "ethic."
Ethics (from the Ancient Greek "ethikos", meaning "arising from habit"), is the study of value or quality. It covers the analysis and employment of concepts such as right, wrong, good, evil, and responsibility.
If you are referring to one's racial background, you would say "ethnic."
An ethnic group is a human population whose members identify with each other, usually on the basis of a presumed common genealogy or ancestry.
