A chance to be stupid for a while or maybe permanently and chance at a near death experience. Why do you think they call it DOPE. Find legal highs, like standing with your arms out and closing your eyes, while spinning in place. That should alter your conscienceness enough to give you an idea what the drugs do. You're not missing anything that special.

You are very smart. You are not missing nothing except... mixing with the wrong crowd, risk of overdosing or getting a hold of bad drugs, risk of becoming addicted, risk of getting caught and being put in jail with a police record that will follow you around the rest of your life and which will keep you from landing a kick *** job later in life, the horriable feat of going thru rehab, losing yourself within yourself, spending alot of money on nothing, abusing drugs can age you fast and ruin your life or take your life. becoming addicted to drugs is fast and it changes your spiritual self and hurts the ones that care about you! You risk getting shot at or someone hurting your loved ones over it. That is what your missing! That is the big ugly deal! You can get high on life or a lover or something other then drugs. Stay smart... ok!

You're getting opinions from people that have no experience in the question your asking. The first time I tried X it was AMAZING!! I was happy and warm and lost ALL inhibitions. I talked and hugged and touched EVERYBODY!! I LOVED everybody. It took my away! But I was just gonna do it that once, just to see what it was like. But I LOVED it!! So the next weekend I did it again. And loved it again!! And did it again, and again until I was doing it every couple days, increased to multiple pills. I was trying to get back that initial "high" as the first time I took it. Then I saw a video someone took when we were "rollin". OMG!! What an eye opener to soberly watch yourself drugged up. I was all "speedy" and "cracked out" looking. It wasn't even me. And I became severly depressed. I had no serotonin left. I couldn't get "happy" anymore. Not even artificially. It was affecting my work cause it keeps u "high" for hours and I would go in like that thinking they wouldn't notice. I regret ever trying it. I have already noticed the effect its had on my mind. I barely have a short-term memory. I had to take anti depressants for a while to get the chemicals in my brain back on track. But I've been completely sober for almost 6 months now. I know this comment will receive a lot of thumbs down, but I just wanted to share my personal experiece with you. And in the long run u are missing absolutly NOTHING. U get NOTHING out of it!!!

I have used many different types of drugs for a very long time. You are missing nothing . They are an escape from reality to hide from a world where we are wounded by various incorrect behaviours of other who were wounded by others..... . You are missing brain damage, even lower self esteem, lack of money, fewer true friends cuz you only get other that are just as wounded as you hanging out with you. We need to not judge others by forgiving ourselves, loving ourselves and then forgiving others and loving others. This ain't no religion it is The Truth. I died and came back this is what I was shown. I am what I am and I love me.
P.S. great question! Be true to yourself!

Artificial brain reactions. It's true that some people feel euphoria, or happiness. Unfortunately, the brain copes by making it harder to feel good once the high is over. This is how the world now becomes boring and drab to the drug user-hence the habit. This is for non-addictive drugs. Addictive drugs just get you physically hooked and you are screwed. It's a mess that is best saved for when you retire and don't care.

You're missing a life void of meaning...don't start. 10 yrs from now you probably won't even remember your friends who do drugs now...unless you start. Be a successful person. Don't start. Do this country some good. Make something of yourself.

That really depends on what drugs you would have done. I'll give you a run down: (I'd also like to point out that none of the following are addictive except tobacco - despite what the gov't wants you to think)
1. alcohol - pretty stupid, makes things blurry
2. tobacco - my current drug of choice, if you smoke it fast acts like caffeine, if you smoke it slow it relaxes you
3. marijuana - just like the commercials - I really don't get what the big deal about it is, after I do it I always wonder why i've done it.
4. oxycontin (crushed) - amazing, ya know when you hear your favorite song and you get those waves of pleasure in your brain, this is like that over and over again.
