Lol, both would be great. I have already been an assistant CFO and helped in a case in corperate law.

An economist because I wouldn't have the conscience to defend someone who may be guilty. I know we are all guilty of something, but I could put myself into feeling more guilty. Or, worse yet, prosecute someone who might be innocent.
An economist seems better because all you have to be is a nerd. As a lawyer you have to be a nerd and perhaps a liar. IF you tell the truth about the economy and it tanks, oh well, it was gonna tank anyway and I wouldn't have done anything to cause the tank.

Name some rich and famous economists, I'd rather enjoy the challenge of arguing and it's rewards that effects peoples lives and pays well.

Economist -- already enjoy mathematics (I'm a Financial Manager and Cost Estimator), and I have ethics -- which rules out me going into the Legal Profession!

Lawyer. There are probably more career options, (the law is involved in everything) and despite the negative stereotypes, it is still one of the most respected professions out there.
