My understanding is that Brittany was controlled by a team out of Europe (Sweden or Switzerland) along with one of the popular boy bands at the time. She basically auditioned for the part. In the beginning, she was told how to sing, what to wear, what the dance steps would be, etc. The guys decided they had their millions and retired--so did her career. You can pretty much tell a big change from everything was successful to "gee, what's wrong" in her music from their retirement point.
She is not like Madonna, who worked her way up and has the actual experience to make business and music decisions. I think she will be popular only if she sticks to making appearances or finds someone to manage every detail of her singing career again.

I think Britney is an immortal in the music world. No matter how annoying some may think she is, or how underestimated others think her music is - Britney Spears ranks amongst the most popular artists of music history and always will.

I have to admit I really think she has looked like crap over the last couple of years. (Pregnancy can do that to you, so I understand) BUT the girl IS loaded and can afford a stylist ....... or at least have a look in the mirror before going outside.....
Anyhooo, I hope she loses that baby weight, releases a great single and finds a man who will love her for who she is. There is nothing like seeing a woman fight to get back to the top! Go get em Brit!

Of course she is especially with the way music is going today!!! Everything is mainstream!!! She will def be back and probably will have other little girls on her fan list since the people that listen to her first are now grown...I hope she sings about something important that's all I ask!!!!

Britney Spears is still popular...everyone knows who she is still. Doesn't mean people like her as much as previously in her lifetime, but she's still popular.

depends. are you talking about popular in her MUSIC or in what she does personally? she should take about three years off and just get her head put on straight and then start working on her songs.
