I dont know if there are any dangers in it but I can testify that it is the best thing that I have ever spent my money on.... well on second thought, one of the best things. Well anyway I use to have a terrible problem with ingrown hairs on my face and neck and I started my treatment six months ago with a company called "Sona Med Spa" and my skin is as smooth as a newborn in the delivery room! I dont even need to shave anymore and my hair is as thick as a copper wire! Get it for whatever reason.... its worth it. Just to let you know also it while getting the treatment it was a little painful ( imagine a thousand rubber bands popping your skin simultaneosly). But after a couple treatments and the follicles have been destroyed the pain goes away. Also if this is something that you want to pursue, you should get yourself some topical numbing cream. I hope I could help!

ARE THERE ANY SIDE-EFFECTS?

After the treatment you may experience a slight reddening of the skin similar to a sunburn that will resolve within a few hours to days. In certain instances (especially in patients with darker complexions) temporary pigment changes may occur, but will disappear within a month.

IS THE TREATMENT PAINFUL?

This is a common initial concern for many of our patients. Our laser uses a special cooling system that lowers the temperature of the skin at the treatment site before, during, and after laser exposure. Therefore, the treatment is generally not painful and is well tolerated. Some patients describe the treatment as a sensation like the snap of a rubber band and “much less painful than the waxing I used to subject myself to.” Topical anesthetic cream is an option for more sensitive areas.

ARE THE RESULTS PERMANENT?

Results vary depending on skin and hair type. Studies have shown that many patients can achieve permanent hair loss of up to 85-90% and remaining hair returns lighter and softer.

Electrolysis and laser hair removal are “permanent” hair removal methods but are expensive and you have to find a trained professional, otherwise your skin could be damaged.
