In the hypothesis that you put forward in the above question we have to assume that there was not WWII in 1939. Therefor there would be no state of Israel in the middle east, the Soviet Union as we know it would never have been formed therefor there would be no NATO, Germany would have remained as it was after WW1 and would not have been a major economic power, as money from the winners of WW2 would not have flooded into the country to assist it with its rebuild. The British Empire might still exist as it would not have been disassembled as it was to pay of war debts at the end of WW2, therefor it is doubt full that the USA would have been the dominate world power as it is now; Nuclear power would not have been developed when it was (Although it is likely that it still would have been at some time) so the COLD WAR would never have happened, and as the financial strain of the militarisation of this would not have overstretched the Soviets it is likely that there would still be a communist state of some sort.

So as too what would happen, there would be a war at some stage, but who knows what the outcome would be as no body would be able to predict what the world would be like if there had been no World War 2.

In between the ideological drama that performed out between u.s. and the the remainder of the Allies, Germany's borders have been sealed and no German electorate have been allowed out - many have been forcibly repatriated from different aspects of Europe. Factories have been dismantled and looted because of the fact the spoils of war, alongside with key scientists, via all 4 Allies. regulations have been placed on how lots nutrition German electorate have been "allowed", and hence hundreds of thousands starved to dying. This coverage were supported on the utmost ranges of the U. S. government and the Marshall Plan replaced into easily a reaction while all of it threatened to explode of their faces in a PR sense. it somewhat is thrilling that the "winners" of this one fortunately practice their descendants appropriate to the Marshall Plan, yet take care of the Morgenthau Plan as though it in no way existed. intense reparations have been imposed, which Germany basically complete paying off final twelve months.

then I'm going to waste all my money on comic books and I'm going to put them in a bank security box. I'm an American so I wouldn't worry about it till 41. And then its the Japenese who bombs us not the Germans. And after WW1 I would let Europe to its own affairs. England was making us rich and getting us out of the depression.

I think I know what you are asking. If that war happened today, i think it would have played out pretty much how it did then. The leaders of countries involved would use the same tactics, the same result would be achieved.
