I had unprotected sex 4 days ago. Im kinda worried that i could be pregnat. how soon should i take a pregnancy test?

U might be. You can test right now. Go buy this test called First Response. It is the best. I took it like 3 days after unprotected sex and it showed positve that i was pregnant and 8 months later here i am waddling. So if your not pregnant it will tell you, at least you will know and it come with 2 or 3 test i think, so if you do it wrong you dont have to go buy another.Good Luck!

Most doctors recommend that you wait until the first day of your missed period before taking a home pregnancy test. This is usually around two weeks after conception. However, some tests are more sensitive (and more expensive) than others and can be taken earlier. Concentrations of hCG are reported in milliInternational Units (mIU) or amounts equal to 1/1000th of an IU per milliliter. A pregnancy test with a sensitivity of 20 IU/L is more sensitive than one with 50 IU/L.
A blood test administered by your doctor is more sensitive than the early home tests and can be taken between seven and twelve days after you have supposedly conceived.

I not going to say yes or no to that because I have had unprotected sex and been fine while other times ive had scares. Its still very early, give it time. wait til its about the time for you period, and after a week, if you dont have it then get a EPT test. If it comes back negative then take it again in a few weeks. If you have more than one EPT test say your negative then you probably are not pregnant. Your body is jsut reacting to new things.. you might miss your period that month... if it goes longer than two missed mendtral cycles you have to go to planned parenthood or your gyno. Ya had unprotected sex 4days ago? I think that would depend on when u ovulated dear. Unprotected sex is dangerous I suggest a STD test as well.

Current tests are sensitive enought to detect HGH (the hormone in urine that is present after conception) as soon as 10 days after conception. I knew my kids were cookin' well before I missed the crimson wave!

When you miss your period, you could be pregnant. Until then, I hope you sweat and learn a lesson about unprotected sex.

You probaly shopuld take the test a couple days after you miss you period thats if you have a normal period but you might not even be pregnent
