FYI: The author's name is Nathaniel Hawthorne, not Daniel.

"Young Goodman Brown" was published in 1735. Look it up in a history book. The really interesting things were happening during the period of time covered by the plot of the book, which is the late 1600s, the time of the Salem Witch Trials in Massachusetts Colony.

FYI: Hawthorne wasn't even born until 1804, so hopefully the other gent meant to say that "Browne" was published in 1835 as is actually the case.
