It is a good idea if, the points were the only reason to ask or answer a question. The points in my opinion are a perk. You can't do anything with them, all you have are bragging rights. I don't even know how many points I have but I know i have a lot. I answer questions because I truly want to help the person asking questions. My favorite color is red; )
