There are so many reliable resourses on the internet to help with difficult questions. So why is it there are a zillion people on here asking questions? Granted, most of them are children, but there are an awful lot of adults too. I'm also seeing that many of the answers are just opinions, not facts, which might lead people down the wrong road. Oy!

asking is just plain fun ... and some times you might need a few opinions not just some written gobbely goop..

Well, many people do just want opinions. Sometimes the facts are just dry and irrelevant to an individual circumstace. If somebody already experienced what you are asking about then they must have a tiny bit of wisdom in them. Also, the site seems to be easily navigated and touches on zillion of topics. Searching for a topic in some forums on internet can be a pain in the ***.

I think they are just trying to think up any question they can.
Some of mine may seem dumb to some but other people seem to like them. I do not ask many questions because of the reasons you gave in the question. If I want facts I will research it myself.
The thing that bugs me more is when people give full and good answers and the person asking picks a silly one liner joke of an answer. they should allow you to report crappy answers picked as best.
I do not answer questions from people who seem immature like that because why waste my time typing a bunch of stuff that you think is a good answer and then someone who just types " LOL good question" is picked. that is just plain stupid.
Take things here with a grain of salt and scepticism and you will be better served..

this is social, and many ans. are really funny...not to mention when an ans. is something you need it's usually better than anything in an online manual...
