Personally, I would rather say I have a high school diploma. I believe getting your GED isn't as fulfilling but, it is equivalent to a high school diploma. The reason why I am so flexible in my logic is because I have a brother who had a tremendous struggle trying to get through high school (only for personal reasons I feel cannot be discussed). He finally dropped out and went back to get his GED. I believe the GED is another way for people to get help where they need it when they are struggling with academics along with possible personal conflicts.

High school graduate. The process of graduation is awesomely fun and you feel SO proud when you walk across that stage and get your diploma.
Not knocking the people that get GEDs because I respect them for having the courage and determination to do it, but society as a whole tends to look down on GEDs as a sort of cop out. "You couldn't cut in high school, which isn't even the big leagues of education, so you got the boobie prize."
But like I said, I respect and admire the people who go back for GEDs, I just prefer the celebration and excitement that goes with graduating.
