As they cremate me and again as the spread my ashes through out the Rocky Mountains:

"Lil Wing" instrumental version by Stevie Ray Vaughan & Double Trouble
"Brokedown Palace" (live version) by The Grateful Dead
"Feels Like Rain" by Buddy Guy
"The Next Time I'm In Town" by Chet Atkins and Mark Knopfler
"Golden Slumbers/ Carry That Weight" by The Beatles
"Imagine" (instrumental version) by Chet Atkins and Mark Knopfler
"All The Love There Is" by Smokin' Joe Kubeck & Bnois King
"California Dreamin'" by The Mommas And The Poppas
and why not:
"Funeral For A Friend" by Elton John
"Knockin' On Heaven's Door" performed by Warren Zevon

But they absolutly must play "The Cheesecake Truck Song" by King Missle; just to lighten the mood.

Unfortunately, I have been to WAY TOO MANY of these so I know that 2 songs are about all a funeral service can take. Thus, my 2 songs have to be:
"And He Walks With Me" (church hymn) as recorded by Merle Haggard (congregation singing along, if they would like)
"Go Rest High Upon That Mountain" by: Vince Gill

The next 3 songs, I would like to have played, in some combination, right before the service starts and right as the service is over.
"Little Wing" Instramental version by Stevie Ray Vaughn
"Brokedown Palace" by The Greatful Dead
"When the Music's Over" The Doors

These final songs can be played as people are beginning to file in, as the last people leave, during the visitation, whatever, because they me

"November Rain" by Gun's 'n Roses (my exwife and I got married on a freezing cold, rainy November day)
"Crystal Ball" by Styx (I still remember it like it was yesterday. This song was the first song that came on the radio the day my boss told me to go home because "my family needed something." Right as this song came on, I came to the realization that I was headed home to find out that my grandma had passed. I was her only grandchild.)
"Knights in White Satin" by the Moody Blues (Nancy)
"Jessica" The Allman Brothers (Ryan and I at the James River)
"Whipping Post" The Allman Brothers Band (I lived the exact words to this song)
"Don't Let it Bring You Down" the version recorded on Crosby, Stills, Nash and Young's 4 Way Street (my crazy highschool days with my crazy highschool friends)
"Thunder Road" Bruce Springsteen (the old camaro, a girl, youth)
"The Ballad of Curtis Lowe" Lynard Skynard (Danny Haffner; the message)
"Black" Pearl Jam (Monica, my first true love; no one will ever know how much she meant to me.)
"Open Arms" by Journey (my exwife and I's first wedding dance; one of the best times I ever had with Kenny, Kim and the exwife)
"The River" Bruce Springsteen (Kevin, not real sure why, but I love the dude like a brother)
"You were always on my mind" Willie Nelson (from me to WAY too many people)
"A Pirate Looks at 40" Jimmy Buffet (my boat life)

Thats enough for now.

Thank You

"Somebody To Love" by Queen, "Goodbye Yellow Brick Road" by Elton John, "I Want To Disappear" by Marilyn Manson, "I Disappear" by Metallica, "The Show Must Go On" by Queen, "Down With The Sickness" by Disturbed, and lots more like that. Plus, lots of comedy like Robin Williams and Dennis Miller, etc. They better all be laughing, no matter how I died. It better be a party!

There are probably a lot of songs, but one song that i'd love to be played at my funeral should be "Crossroads" by Bone Thugs n Harmony.
