Hmm...so I know that I have an infected music file, but I don't know which one it is...it crashed my ipod. If I convert all my songs to a different format using itunes (into m4a format) will I still risk crashing my ipod again, or would my file now be "clean"?

Thanks.

So I guess what I'm asking is...if a corrupted file is converted, is the new file corrupted as well?

It is a little bit beyond me, but, by way of advice which you probably alreadt know, keep the infection contained until you get a definitive answer.
