I was thinking about best answers..........

What if you got points for your best answer based on the number of people that answered??? Because if there are a ton of answers, it is less likely you will get best answer, so if you DO, you should be justly rewarded. If a question has 36 answerers, the best answerer should get 36 points, etc... What do you think of my idea????

Thanks!

=) Have A Great Day! (=

You are a very smart person. However, I don't think it should be linear - I think maybe the normal points for a BA with up to five answers, then gradually getting more points, with a special award for the highest ever achieved on Yahoo, perhaps 100 points for that as well.

I think it's a pretty good idea when you answer a question with a lot of answers, but what about the questions with only 4 answers? Only getting 4 points would tick some people off royally and then there would be no motivation to choose a best answer if only 4 people answer the question. Personally, I think we should get more then 2 points for answering a question when we give an actual answer as opposed to these rude people who say something like "I don't know" just so they can get 2 lousy points. You know, have like a character counter, like they use for posting the questions and over so many characters (would have to be kind of low though) is considered a complete answer. Or, possibly better, a word counter that has to have over 3 words.

Thats a great idea but its not really gonna fly with yahoo. I dont think that we deserve any points for someone typing a one or two word answer. The system will stay the way it is because it works.

Good idea. We should also still get points for giving a thumbs up. And instead of voting, why not allow the thumbs ups to be counted as votes?

That is a neat idea. Of course some questions get buried out there and people aren't always looking to answer your question. Seems it would prompt folks to answer questions that have the most answers already so they can get the most points...

i think thats a good idea because that would mean u worked harder on answering the question than 36 other ppl.u should talk to yahoo about that

I don't really care about the points. I just started this thing. Does it get addictive?
