My son Is now 4 but they put him on a nebulizer and pulmicort respules when he was around 6 months. The logic I was given was that it was easier to administer and it also helps with nasal congestion due to allergies. He was around 2 years old when they changed him to flovent and a chamber for administering the dosages. I have also been told that the nebulizer is more helpful to reduce complications or other respiratory infections because of the ability to make sure they are recieving the correct dosage and medication.
