If you’re looking for accurate acne information, best to see a dermatologist. Some people believe doctors are predisposed to take the easy way to deal with acne… prescription drugs. But, with many, this simplistic answer may not be the appropriate course of action. Some feel that such prescription drugs just treat the symposium and not the underlying cause. But, a local dermatologist is still your best starting point.
For me personally, I discovered a great informational acne treatment site. Not only is there good information/articles but I got their audio e-book and following it’s advice can now say that my acne is a thing of the past! Keep in mind, were all different and there are various types of acne, so what works for some may not be totally effective for all.
Bottom line, hang in there, you will get past this! Sincere best wishes and good luck.
Oh, by the way the site that helped me is:

All dis-ease or zits in this instance are created by congested bowels. Eat properly - this means stop using a micro wave this shuts down your immune system, eat raw or lightly stemed foods.DRINK LOTS of good quality water. Reverse Osmosis, and ultra violet water strip your body of nutrients as does Distilled water. If you only have tap water let it stand for preferrably 24 hours to allow the toxic chlorine and floride to evaporate the add cell food ~ 15-20 drops. You can pick this up at any health food store.
Getting back to your bowels, when you have a bowel movement, (a dump) raise your feet up ~ 6-8 inches. Use a stack of books or a little stool. And Your stool will come out better and the colon will not be pinched by having your feet so low. If available wash your face with watermelon juice as this is an excellent aid to elliminate zits. The main thing is eat healthy- 80 % raw 20% cooked. Stay away from fast foods and any thing processed. Another really good thing is to say to your self in the mirror "I LOVE ME". Emotionally acne is the physical eruption of self hatred that has been suppresed. Forgive yourself and love yourself. There is no shame in your life it is all imposed on you from others that do not want to take responsiblity for their actions. Be the best that you can be and the UNI-VERSE will shower you with the health and well being. you know that whole karma thing. As you speak and think the UNI-VERSE hears you and gives you what you ask for whether it be in speech, action or words. p.s. if you can not pronounce it do not eat it or put it on your body, If it is tetracycline it has been linked to suicide attemts. Do your own research and make your own choices in all things . Trust your intuition. Don't think, feel The TRUTH. This does not mean your truth , The Truth.TRUST YOURSELF,LOVE YOURSELF! FORGIVE YOURSELF!
As you look in the mirror- " I LOVE YOU!" Say this as many times as you can for the rest of your life when ever you look in a mirror. See yourself in your 3rd eye mirror and continually state this Truth and feel your life become a thing of beauty and joyfullness all ways.

I'm thirteen and I don't have acne but I have some great tricks for you! Well first off a lot of the time acne is my genetics and you can't really help it. I know sucks for you. But when I get a little pimple what helps me is if you don't have super sensitive skin put toothpaste on a big pimple it helps it from get more oils and bacteria in it over night, helps it from getting bigger and redder, also don't squeeze! It makes it even worse if you leave a pimple alone it will heal much faster other than squeezing it it can take 3 times longer to go away and it leaves scars, or steam you face with a little bit of lemon juice in the water. CLAY LIKE POTTERY CLAY HEAL ACNE FOR MOST PEOPLE MY FRIENDS AUNT HAD ACNE AND SHE JUST PUT CLAY ON HER FACE EVERY NIGHT AND WASHED IT OFF HER ACNE WAS ALL GONE WITH IN A MONTH!

DONT PICK AT IT!!
Seriously, the number one cause of it spreading is picking.
Keep your hands off your face completely. It spreads bacteria onto your face.
If you have used the same product for a year with no success, change products. You might want to try something with benziol peroxide in it if you don't have a sensitivity. It pushes oxygen into the skin which kills the bacteria.
Make sure you are drinking plenty of water to help your skin cleanse itself.
Go see a dermatologist, a medical doctor doesn't have the right training, where a dermatologist does.
Good luck, I know it's frustrating, but it will get better.

I had acne BAD in middle school when no one really got zits then! I went to the doctor and he made me try about 10 things, none of them worked, so he put me on acutane. It's like $100 a month, with insurance paying for $400 of it. It's just a pill you take once a day for about 6 months, but it worked great, it hasnt come back yet. I got the zits once in a while and so I use proactive. I LOVE IT!! You can order it and if it doesn't work for you then you can send it back for free. GOOD LUCK!! Hope I could help some.

I developed adult acne. As long as I take a 50mg tablet of Zinc, my face does not break out. If I miss 1 day, I will get a zit. I also take Biotin which is good for your skin. Both are vitamins.
