I shot 50 free throws a day, and practiced until I was tired, then kept going.....after only playing "ball" for 5 mos. I was a walk-on varsity player in high school my junior year and starter my senior year. If you're dedicated enough, you WILL succeed. Also work on your vertical jump, hang a string from your ceiling, goal at home or whatever is tall enough, and cut the end off just out of your vertical jump reach. Jump at this every day until you touch the string, then cut it again out of your reach, etc. I also dribbled a tennis ball to help with dribbling/ball control skills. I hope some of this helps and good luck!!

this prepare time table that I even have made isn't what you ought to do, or maybe what you will do. it particularly is purely a guidance. It has many stuff which you are able to coach with a view to grow to be a competent basketball participant. at the start, i prefer to permit you already know to be very useful. Basketball is an extremely relaxing game, and that i like it. the concern is, you particularly ought to like it, and you particularly ought to coach lots to be triumphant interior the sport. Interpret the time table as you like. one million. heat-ups (10 minutes or much less): - Stretching - Loosening up, so which you don't get injured as rather - Do a type of stretches - Arm stretches, leg stretches.... 2. working (5 minutes or much less): - rapid jog - do no longer run too problematic - it is likewise for loosening up 3. Dribbling: - Dribble which incorporate your finger pads, no longer palms - do no longer dribble too severe, as much as the waist is acceptable - don't have the ball be too some distance faraway from you - consistently seek for once you dribble - carry out a little dribbling drills (Run on a similar time as dribbling on a similar time as holding your head up) - 4. Passing: - returned, don't have your palms on the ball once you bypass - Take a step forward which incorporate your greater advantageous foot (good once you're a righty, left if a leftie) and bypass - prepare each and all of the quite a few passes (leap bypass, chest bypass) - leap bypass: make confident the ball hits the floor 2/3 between you and the different individual, and that the ball lands on the different individual's waist or above - Chest bypass: make confident that the ball is going to the guy's chest, no longer too low and not too severe 5. capturing: - ensure you're sq. to the basket 6. protection: prepare dribbling, passing, capturing, and protection lots. those are considered necessary. make confident you save in shape!! good success. prepare foul photographs like loopy. those are considered necessary.

for you to become a better basketbell player???... the question am gonna ask you: Do you already know to play the game, what i mean is the basic? well, if you do... you've got to know the standadrd rules of basketball. Always wathch the NBA T.V. and try immitating some signitured moves of your favorite superstars... try immitating the way Allen Iverson or Steve Nash handles the ball, the cross-overs...or the way Rey Allen shoots the basketball from behind or inside the arc.... and of course play more!!! practice makes perfect.... :-)

Growing up around alot of basketball though not a player. I would say seek out the best competition go to places where the best players are and play against them. While practice is good head to head play will help you much more if you combine it with practice.

Eat your proteins and get tall. Other than that, practice! And I don't mean just pickup games. Force yourself to shoot until your arms are sore. Get that feeling of shooting a perfect arc into your muscle memory.
