I live in Oregon, south of the family. Here is the story.
Jacob and Matt's business partner were loading the catapult with a pumpkin when it misfired. Jacob did suffer a head injury and had to undergo neurosurgery, but is back home and fine. I heard that the business partner has 100's of stitches, but is on the mend as well. You can check out a letter that Matt (the dad) wrote on TLC website.

I heard the catapult prematurely snapped causing the concrete arm to strike Jacob and a family friend. The doctors had to remove a blod clot from the boy's head...(poor baby - he gets hurt a lot on that farm....). I love Matt and Amy and respect them as parents...but get rid of the Trebuchet (catapult)!!!

I heard that he got hurt with the slingshot thing on the episode but they never said how it happened. That is a pretty dumb thing to do if that is what happened.

How horrible! I love that show but I don't get a chance to watch every episode. I didn't see that one. His dad wrote that he is recovering at home. I hope he'll be ok.
