Ya Dream Theater is Progresive but they are considered power metal also because of thier range

Dream Theater is progressive metal
Epica is goth metal
Metallica was thrash metal, they sound more like modern rock now
Faith no More is more like alternative/heavy metal
Porcupine Tree is progressive
Opeth is extreme progressive metal
Tool. Disturbed, Manson and Rammstein ain't metal
Judas Priest is heavy metal
As for my favorite power metal band the answer is Angra.

hmm not quite sure what you mean by power metal, but i think id go with Faith No More on this one (with their album Angel Dust). also good are Opeth, Porcupine Tree, + Tool
