The topic says it all. I'm kinda worried, because I look forward to attending Baylor for my future Medical career, and I am wondering whether being Christian is a requirement, or if I won't fit in if I'm not Christian.

You do not have to be Christian to go to Baylor; however, a non-Christian (or even a liberal Christian) may feel very uncomfortable on the Waco, Texas campus. It is heavily conservative/traditional, and heavily Southern Baptist. That being said, if you can put up with the undergraduate campus for two years (before you go to the medical school campus in Houston), I think it will be well worth the hassles. Baylor College of Medicine has an excellent reputation throughout the U.S. and the world, and the medical school campus (like the nursing school campus in Dallas) is far less slanted toward or concerned with any particular belief.

Avoid Eastern Nazarene if possible as US News & Wolrd Reports ranks it in the Tier 3 category whihc is the lowest aside from unranked colleges. There are a lot of great Catholic colleges on the east coast like Georgetown, Boston College, Holy Cross and these are all ranked near the top of Tier 1, The Tier 1 colleges that are Protestant are largely secular colleges today such as the Ivy League colleges.

You do not HAVE to be Christian to attend Baylor, but your chances of actually enjoying it if you are NOT Christian are not very good.

It's like going to BYU if you're not a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints (Mormons).

In both cases, you'd be in the extreme minority, and you would probably not enjoy (or benefit from) the pressure to conform to social and religious expectations and restrictions that dominate those campuses.

My advice? Broaden your horizons and look elsewhere.
