That is the actual speed of your two combined processors. Its just that some software and games can only use one at a time ... so thats why i bought the old school processor on my new pc.

Each processor is clocked at 2667 MegaHertz!

If the OS is a true multi-tasking one, like the 510 different BSD and Linux Distros, it manages the multiple processor cores so that what ever game or program you run will process at about 1-7/8 faster on a dual core processor, than on a single core processor.

The lost 1/8th or a bit more, can be "lost" in the overhead of system management. BUT, those 'Nix systems run most processes up to 50X faster than is possible with Microsoft, anyway, as benchmarks demonstrate.

Most the Gaming magazines, all the hardware analysis sites, and all the hardware mags cite these test results in "shoot-outs" since 1996. Try it for yourself!

That is NOT the speed of the two combined. You have two processor cores, each with a speed of 2.66Ghz. The actual speed is 2.66Ghz, but do remember that Core 2 Duos can do more work at 2.66Ghz than old Pentium 4s could do at the same speed, for many architectural reasons.

2.66 man.. and it just meand it has 2 cores rather than one. which means the computer thinks there is 2 processors. so eatch core is running at 2.66 which means you have a bad *** pc.. but still at 2.66
